Inspiring Science Educators Summer Academy 2015 in Marathon, Greece
It is another amazing day in Greece (pinch myself!) as I collaborate with colleagues throughout the world to design inquiry-based online science scenarios. Dr. Angelos Lazoudis introduced us to an exciting new technology called augmented reality. This new tool allows animations to be superimposed onto real objects using cameras and specific software. Angelos is demonstrating the technology using molecular motion in response to changes in temperature. He is currently working on a particle physics augmented reality project involving the ATLAS detector at CERN.
Thank you to QuarkNet (FermiLab, Notre Dame and Black Hills State University) and the National Science Foundation for sponsoring my experience at the Inspiring Science Educators Summer Academy.
