Proposal for MINOS tunnel - muon rates versus distance from access shaft

Participaqnts from four high schools plan to meet Sunday Oct. 28, 2018 to develop a proposal to Fermilab to measure the rate of muons versus the distance from the access shaft.  Topics to be discussed include: detector design; stand designs; location mapping; anticipated rates; safety training; tunnel access training; GPS signal acquisition; period of data taking; bookkeeping and documentation plans; shift responsibilities; data acquistion; research of existing published measurements; consultation with Fermi staff; proposal submission process; working groups; background mesaurements; prototypes.
