Opening Session

  • Sign-in, Registration
  • Introductions (name, school, subject teach, years in QN, masterclass experience…)
  • What is QuarkNet? QuarkNet.org

Student Hat:

  • Go over the agenda. Objectives, Norms (StepUP, Fermilab)
  • Activity: How We Roll (adapted from Dice Histograms, an activity available on the Quarknet website) in groups of 3

Teacher Hat:

  • Explore at least three stand-alone activities from the Data Activities Portfolio
  • Identify three topics in your curriculum that can be addressed and/or enriched by portfolio activities.
  • Discuss/share your ideas for implementing on eor more of these ideas.
  • Design a sequence of three or more activities to use in the classroom during the upcoming school year.
